Below was our route for today.

Well we got a late start today from Bryce Canyon. I think we all needed to catch up on our sleep. That was a good thing too because if you notice it is almost 2AM Vegas time and the kids just turned in. I think they are loving this no bedtime stuff. It is practically impossible for them to have one since our schedules are never consistent as we travel from state to state. Read more
Before leaving Bryce, we headed up to Bryce Point for one last lookout. Heather and Taylor went there last night (I stayed behind with Trevor since he wasn’t feeling good still). Their plan was to view the stars but Heather said it was very scary up there with just the girls, so they didn’t stay long. Trevor unfortunately had the bug which lasted longer than 24 hours.
We put some Motrin in Trevor and headed toward Zion National Park – Kolob Canyon. What a beautiful place as well. I tell you, I am not a big hiker, but I would love to just spend a week hiking Bryce and Zion Canyons.
After leaving Zion, Trevor still wasn’t feeling well so we diverted to an urgent care facility in Cedar City, UT. I dropped him and mom off and the girls and I drove around and finally found a playground at the local elementary school. Heather called us with the good news that Trevor didn’t have strep throat and it was just a bug that should go away in 24-48 hours.
Well we found the cure for Trevor, take him to Las Vegas. Ever since we arrived, he (and Taylor) have been in awe of this place. Trevor ended up felling good enough for us to tour the city until the late evening. We went to New York, New Your, Monte Carlo, MGM, and Bellagio. The kids loved the water fountains at night!
Well, since we got to Vegas late, we have decided that we will not be leaving tomorrow, and have decided we will be staying here tomorrow as well (really tonight now)
By the way, we reached 100 degrees today for the first time on the trip. The weather in Mesquite, AZ was 100 degrees exactly. What a change from the snow and low 30’s just a few days back.
Thanks for all the comments. We love reading them. We are glad you are enjoying following our journey.
More tomorrow from Vegas…

22 Jun 2010Good morning Family! I hope today all is well and that Trevor is feeling better. Let’s hope that no one else gets it! The Canyon pictures are beautiful. I am not sure that I have ever heard of Bryce Canyon. Well worth the trip and the hike into it for the pictures. Have another great day. I miss you all. Love, Mom

21 Jun 2010Hi Trent. I got in. Great pictures. We are having a meeting tonight about the organ. Also, someone has offered to purchase the bell. ($5,000 to $10,000. Good things are happening because of your dedication. Enjoy your travels.
