We got up and decided to check out the place a bit since we were pretty tired the night before. It had a really nice pool, but not somewhere we would stay again. We walked down the beach to enjoy the Florida sunrise and then headed west to Lake Buena Vista. Read more
Grabbed Chick-fil-A for breakfast and got on I-4 to Lake Buena Vista. I knew we were low on gas but thought I could find a place to stop on I-4… I was wrong. We literally had 30 miles to empty and the next gas station was 29 miles away. We barely made it on fumes and rolled into a very sketch BP station. I just put a few gallons in to get us going because the gas was almost $5.00/gallon, where everywhere else we have seen is at least a dollar less.
Since we cannot get into our resort until the afternoon, we went to check out the Wekiwa State Park about 30 minutes from Orlando. What an amazing find!. It is a natural spring about 4 feet at its deepest point and is really big. One section is for people to swim/float and the other side is for kayaks/canoes. We hung out here all day and just floated on the water. The weather was beautiful.
We headed over to our resort and checked in around 3p. This week we are staying at the Westgate Blue Tree Resort. We unloaded the car and then went to the grocery. After the grocery, we walked all around the resort and then came back and made dinner.
