We left a little after 1 and 5 min into the trip, we realized we left all the meat in the refrigerator at home – steaks, cold cuts, sausage, etc.  Since we had no schedule we simply turned around to get the meat and then headed to the mountain. The ride up the mountain took awhile as they was several people leaving as we were coming and the roads are quite narrow.

We arrived and setup the RV and then took a drive down to Provo Falls (video) and Mirror Lake on Mirror Lake Highway.  Perfect weather today, we just enough sun. There was spectacular views and a bunch of neat trails as well.  We headed back to camp and grilled bacon cheeseburgers for dinner. We spent the rest of the evening tending to the fire and observing the incredible wide open sky and stars. Not of the photos came out very good, but the stars were amazing.

Monday 6/22

Got up and had bacon, eggs, sausage for breakfast. The mosquitos were more of a nuisance this morning than we had hoped. We drove to a trail and hiked to a peak for an hour or so. Then we went to Iron Mine Lake. We hung out there most of the day (after getting lost a few times on the way) and did some shooting, and had lunch.

The sun was pretty hot so we headed back to camp and all of us took a nap until the evening.  Great breeze in the evening. Grilled steaks and baked potatoes for dinner, and more drinks around the campfire.  Turned in around 1a.

Tuesday 6/23

We got up early and were ambushed by mosquitos everywhere. We had planned to hang around and have lunch near the mountain, but decided to pack up the RV and head home to avoid the annoying pests.   

We got back and unloaded the RV and then headed over to get a bite at 5 Guys and had dessert at a “cow ice cream place” next door.  Long few days in the mountain so we just hung out and ordered delivery from Full Asian for dinner.
