Monday we left at 7:20p immediately after mom got home from work. We had packed the night before, so it was only a few minutes before we were headed to the Ozarks. West of Terra Haute the snow subsided, so I decided to drive all the way through. We arrived in Branson at 4:20a (10 hour trip). We immediately checked into our cabin and went to sleep.
Tuesday we got up and swam at the indoor pool. Weather was nice, but breezy. We then headed to the grocery, toured Branson a bit, and then came back to the cabin and played board games most of the evening. Trevor and I played several hours of basketball.
Wednesday we got up early and went to ride go carts and play putt-putt (lost Treasure). Mom won by 1 stroke. After that we played in the arcade and then went over to the Tanger Outlets. Came back and played shuffleboard and basketball.
Thursday we went to Old Town Branson to the 5&10 store. This is an old-fashioned store with practically no electronics of today. Came back to the resort and hiked to the waterfall, and then played Horseshoes and shuffleboard Watched # 2 seed OSU beat Arizona in Sweet 16 – 73-70 Watched Syracuse dismantle #1 seed Indiana Trevor played bball during the Sweet 16 games.
Friday we went to Table Rock Lake & Dam. The kids really like the Fish Hatchery. I decided I needed a rematch in putt-putt so we headed to Pirates Cove Mini-Golf. This time I won by one stroke. Afterwards we watched NCAA games.
Saturday the Easter Bunny came early. Mom & Tess went swimming to start the day. We then headed over to the World’s Largest Toy Museum. Really cool stuff there. er bunny came a day early.rning…
Sunday we got up around 6:00CST and headed home by 6:20CST. Arrived home around 4:00EST. The Westlake Branson Woods was a nice change from the beach.
