We arrived into Phillipsburg, St. Maarten around 8a but we didn’t get up until after 9a. Notice a theme here…We all headed to breakfast and then exited the ship. We walked around a bit and bought some jewelry and other souvenirs. Read more
We then took the water taxi over to the beach and decided to rent some beach chairs and hang out there for the day. The kids and Heather and I all played on the water trampoline and then played more frisbee. It was a great day at the beach. Just a reminder that we have had no cellular or internet access since Saturday morning, so we truly could fully relax on the beach all day.
We got back on the ship around 4p and had a snack. At 5p I played in the 3-3 adult basketball tournament. The good news is my team got the 1st place medal. The bad news is I did it at the expense of a badly sprained/jammed finger. Tess did the Rockwall again, and once again got to the top.
I headed off to medical while everyone else headed back to the room to get changed for dinner. They taped my two fingers together and said I should be fine.
After dinner the kids scattered and Heather and I went to the Michael James entertainment show at 9p. This guy climbed to the top of an 8 rung ladder that wasn’t leaning on anything. It was straight up. He also put a lady on his shoulders while riding a unicycle, and did a lot of juggling. He was pretty hilarious as well. Good show.
