This morning we decided to go back to Red Lodge as we enjoyed it so much last year. Tim, Dean, Chris and I went to Red Lodge and Todd stayed behind to do some work. It is about a 45 minute drive on the scenic Beartooth Highway. Read more
We walked around the town and found that our fly shop in Columbus has one here also (East Rosebud Fly Shop). Had lunch at what a local called the best restaurant in town – Foster & Logan’s Pub. Not bad food at all. On the way back to the car, the rain started coming down so we decided to head back to the ranch.
The plan was to fish the YellowStone River across from the ranch for a few hours (like on Monday), but that is when “it” was discovered…..
I was upstairs and heard Chris screaming “OH FU$*#!”. I came down and walked into his room with Dean and saw where Stewart (the friendly cat) had taken a massive crap in Chris’s suitcase. Stewart was even nice enough to cover it up with Chris’s socks as he would litter in a litterbox. The funny thing was when Stewart ran in the house earlier in the week, Chris said to Wick and I “I guess someone is going to have a bad surprise this week”. Much laughter rest of the evening. We concluded with the closing ceremony in which Tim Conley received this year’s award.
