Below was our route for today.
Headed east towards San Antonio. We stopped at The Kolache Factory in Katy, TX, and really enjoyed those breakfast filled dough balls. Heather’s dad Ron, first introduced those to us and Heather made sure we were stopping at the first one we saw. Read more
We arrived into San Antonio and walked straight to the Alamo, as we had reserved a guided tour of the battleground. The tour ended up being a walk around the Alamo and listening to a local talk about it. Decent history lesson, but I would not pay for it again.
We then headed over to the Riverwalk and had lunch at Boudro’s right on the river. Heather had fresh guacamole made table side and she was in Heaven. After dinner we took the Rio San Antonio river tour and learned a lot about how the Riverwalk came to be.
We then went to the gift shops and walked around more before dinnner. We decided to visit the MISSION ONE CLOSE right before dinner at Paesano’s. We then took a nice nightly stroll around the Riverwalk in the balmy 80 degree temperature before turning in for the evening.
