The best way to describe this National Park/Site, my 78th visited is that it is the Badlands of South Dakota, but much greener and with more depth. It was a very cool stop.
We continued across to Fargo, ND but just 30 miles outside of Bismarck we saw the worst largest holstein cow way up on the hill. My wife was the the holstein queen of our county fair in high school so this is always a fun subject. However, we didn’t have time to stop.
We continued into the Twin Cities and stopped in Des Moines, IA. I dropped Wick off there and drove further east to Altoona and stayed overnight. About 8 hours from home at this point.
