Today was a pretty relaxed day. we left our hotel at 6am and headed to the grand canyon. the snow storm had really picked up and the roads started to get back. we had to even reroute to get to the grand canyon cause the roads were closed. we made a stop at the slot canyons in antelope creek. they were really cool and got some pretty cool pictures.Read more
We got to walk thru the canyons then go ontop of them and look in. then we got back on the road and arrived around 4pm to the hotel. we just chilled all night and went to get food from the food court in the village. then we hung out and played cards and listened to music and went to bed.
Today we woke up, got dressed and got ready to ride the mules. let me just say, these mules were not what I expected. I expected it to look like a little pony but these looked like big horses. i got the best mule in my opinion and her name was berta. she was super well behaved which made the ride a lot more enjoyable. the only incident i had was when we were stopped listening to our tour guide and berta pooped and it was the worst smell ever!! other than that we had no problems. the only unfortunate part of the ride was that it was super foggy so we could barely see the canyon. we made the best of it though. then we went back to our rooms and ate lunch and rested before we had our next hike.
This hike was so fun and easy cause we didnt go on a trail, we were on a concrete sidewalk. it was 4 miles total but it felt like nothing because we had a giant snowball fight the whole time. we would throw them at each other while we were walking and it was SO fun! then we stopped at a convenient store to restock on snacks cause we were almost out then we walked back to our rooms. when it got to be dinner time we just hung out and snacked in our building. we also had some fun and tried to bleach some of the boys hair which took a long time and didnt even work haha. then we went to sleep.
