Red works today so Trev and I got up and had a little breakfast and then took a drive on the dirt road at the end of Red’s subdivision. It was a beautiful drive that took us by a cool state park and we ended up in Henefer, Utah. Since we were now only an hour from Golden Spike National Site, we decided to go check that out. It is where the Continental Railroad was connected from the west to the east. Kinda surreal to think that last railroad tie and spike created a whole new way of transportation, communication, moving supplies and money quickly across the country. Too cool. Since most of the building was closed due to Covid-19, we headed back to Park City.
We then decided to explore downtown Park City so we parked and walked around a bit. I am sure the city is more packed where there isn’t a national pandemic occurring, but there weren’t a lot of people walking around. We bought some souvenirs and had great pizza at Davanzas, which is where Trev actually ate when he was skiing in Park City a few years back.
