Below was our route for today.
Yesterday we headed to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. On our drive, we went through Buffalo, WY and the Big Horn National Forest. We could see beautiful snow-capped mountains for miles. We also drove through Wind River Indian Reservation, and stopped in Shoshonee for a soda malt. The drive was quite long because of traffic and road construction through the mountains. Read more
In Thermopolis, we drove by the World’s Largest Natural Mineral Hot Springs. The interesting part of the drive was that around 2pm as we went through the Indian Reservation, the temperature was 81 degrees. Just 4 hours later north of Jackson, the temperature was 39 degrees. It settled in at 43 in Jackson Hole. Looks like we will be wearing jeans today.
NOTE: We will be in YellowStone the next few days and there is limited internet access. This may delay the next entry until Idaho.
Hope you are enjoying the details of our trip.

17 Jun 2010If you want to stay with us in CO you better edit the comment about Iowa being boring! 🙂 I’m enjoying taking this trip with you. I am researching The National Sand Dunes. We will have to stay in touch via text as it gets closer, the weather will effect this trip! It is a MUST to go early morning or in evening as the sand can reach temperatures of 140 degrees (make sure you have tennis shoes)! I figure we will meet at the visitor center 719-378-6399. The webpage I have found helpful http://www.nps.gov/grsa/index.htm
