Today we got up early and headed over to Disney World Epcot for the day. We arrived around 8:15 and doors opened at 9a. We immediately headed over to Test Track and learned the theme for the days was WAIT, WAIT, and WAIT. Although we have been to Disney over 20 times as a family, we have never decided to go during Spring Break. Not the best time to go… Read more
Although we had a pretty good wait for Test Track, it was worth it. We then went over to my previous personal favorite (we’ll come back to this) at Epcot – SOARIN, and it was the longest wait of the day. I still love that ride. Then we all walked over to the world experience and Heather and I went to the UK’ Yorkshire Country Fish Shop for the best fish and chips at Epcot. Tessa and Delaney went to Japan and the US for lunch. Where else in the world can this happen beside Epcot. We then met up with the girls again at Remy’s Ratatouille Ride. Well I mean Heather and I stood in line for 45 minutes while the girls got ice cream and then they joined us for the last 20 minute wait. It was a pretty cool ride. Afterwards we walked around the rest of the world while it began to rain and then stopped in the US for a show on American’s creation. Earlier in the day, Heather put in for a virtual queue pass at the newest roller coaster ride, Guardians of the Galaxy, and we headed over to check out that ride. What an experience! This is now my NEW favorite ride at Epcot. This thing was crazy and like no roller coaster I had ever been on. We started going forward. Then went backwards over 60 mph, and then someone went sideways over 60 mph. The whole ride was blacked out with screens like you were in space fighting other aircraft. There were lasers, different obstacles, and they were playing Journey and Gloria Estefan from the 80’s. Crazy ride! Even Heather liked it and she hates roller coasters. After the ride, we boarded the monorail as Delaney had never been on Disney’s Monorail system before. After that, we called it a day. Aside from the waiting, it was just as fun as all our previous visits to Epcot!
