We spent the day at Disney Springs. Since my wife is such a “cookie aficionado” we needed to make the 1st stop to Gideon’s Bakehouse. Last year when Heather and Tessa were here they tried to get in this place and the wait was several hours. Read more
Luckily, we had about a 15 minute wait and we all ordered our cookies. Heather got a pistachio chocolate chip, Tessa got a cookies and cream, and Brooklyn and I got the loaded chocolate chip. The whole top of the cookie was filled with chocolate chips. Grammy & Poppy got several cookies and a large sampler bag too.
Next stop was lunch at the Polite Pig, right next to the garage elevator. It was literally all we could smell, great marketing and planning by them. The brisket sandwich I got was amazing. The smokiness flavor came through and it was one of the better sandwiches I have had.
We then went to Amorette’s Patisserie for yet more pastries. They had Disney designed cakes and desserts which were all good.
We left the old “West End’ area to head to the Christmas store to get our annual Disney ornament. After that we walked around all the stores and just enjoyed a nice outside day of Florida’s great weather.
