Thursday, we got up and headed over to Coronado island. It was a bit colder because it was really early, and the sun hadn’t come out yet. We walked around quite a bit there, and I loved the beautiful little houses. The shops were great, so I got a nice pair of shoes. Read more
After Coronado, Trent wanted to head over to one of his favorite Italian places over in Little Italy – Mona Lisa’s. We had lunch there, and then headed over to Balboa Park. The park was massive and you could spend a couple days there alone. We walked around quite a bit. Made some friends with the bird keeper, went and saw the Titanic Exhibit at the National Museum of History.
We left Balboa and headed over to dinner at Blue Point Coastal Cuisine in the Gas Lamp District. Trent ordered the Salmon special ($45) and I had the Lobster Crusted Halibut. We then walked around the District a bit, and headed over to Extraordinary Desserts. (you can see the pic of what I got below).
