Below was our route from South Dakota to Montana.
The guys arrived late last night and we caught up until 2a and then turned in. The next morning early Tim, Dean, and Chris checked out a private spot on the Yellow Stone River about 50 yards from the ranch, the rest of us got extra sleep. Read more
The guys were only there a bit because they said the water was too cold that early in the morning and the fish weren’t biting. The temperatures swings this week are crazy 58 degrees to 97 degrees throughout the day. I made breakfast for everyone and we relaxed a bit and then all of us went back to the private spot on the river later in the afternoon. It is a great little spot, and takes us no time to get there. You walk through a tunnel and then voila… The YellowStone River. Since by afternoon it was 97 degrees and no shade wading in the river, Todd and I left before the others. Todd began to prepare the brats and beans for dinner using the Spotted Cow beer I got when we drove through Wisconsin. The rest of the evening we hung out and caught up. Strasser was arriving late that night and we were trying to figure out who was going to take the car and drop it off for him. Since we were synced up upstairs and I knew his loud ass would wake me up when he got here, I decided to volunteer to pick him up from the airport at 12:45a. We got back to the ranch about 2.
