Below was our route for today.
We arrived into Newport Beach around 730. Checked in for our ferry ride over to the island and grabbed some donuts for an early morning snack. Newport Beach is a cute little town. Read more
We departed at 9a. As the boat entered the open water, I felt something hit my arm. Yes it was bird poop. Then I look behind me at Trev and he got the worst of it as it was on his shirt but also on his head. Good thing we had some water and wipes and all was good.
We arrived into The city of Avalon around 1015a. Mom was a bit queezy from the boat ride, so Trev, Tess and I We walked over to pick up our golf cart. Tay and mom joined us and we began the scenic drive of the island. The views were amazing. The island is owned by the Wrigley Chewing Gum family.
After a couple hours, we decided to grab lunch at the Fish and Chips place on the pier. The fresh fish was really good. We walked around the shops a bit and then had some ice cream at Big Olaf’s
It was then time to get back in the Catalina Flyer for our ride back to Newport Beach. Since it was Sunday and everyone was leaving the beach area, we hit a good amount of traffic on the way out.
We arrived into Pasadena around 830..
