No major driving today.
Today we hung out on the beach and swam in the pool. We left around 5:00p to go out on a dinner cruise with Jim’s brother Shawn, and his wife, Jen. We went on a brief boat ride and ended up docking at the Mar Vista Restaurant in LongBoat Key for dinner. Read more
We had a nice dinner outside and walking back to the boat, we spotted a few stone crabs in the shallow water, as well as a few starfish. The kids had a lot of fun just hanging out on the pier.
We got back on the boat, and instead of going the inland route, we went the gulf side and rode all the way around Anna Maria Island. The kids were loving us going about 30mph in the dark with no other boats on the gulf. Most of them were up in the front cabin and they were bouncing around like “popcorn” as we hit the waves.
A great time was had by all. We may go back out on the boat tomorrow to tour a few of the nearby islands. More then…
