Wednesday 8/10
Since Strasser had to leave on Thursday, the rest of the group went to the Bighorn River while Wick and I stayed back and did some work. Read more
Wick and I decided to drive to Billings for a nice breakfast at Denny’s. After breakfast Wick had a meeting in Billings so he dropped me off at the public library and I was able to get a breakout room for about 4 hours to do some Zoom calls. The wifi at the ranch is sketchy at best.
After our meeting/calls, Wick and I headed back to the ranch and pretty much chilled out all day. There were some e-bikes there so I took one and rode the whole property. I hung out with the horses by the hanger and drove up as far in the hills as I could go.
The guys got back from the Horn and had a great day catching a ton of fish.
We had leftover pizza (still 1 full pizza left) for dinner.
Thursday 8/11
We split up this morning because Strasser needed dropped off at the airport, so we all met up in Ft. Smith to float the BigHorn River. We did our typical stop at the fly shop and met the guides at AfterBay (the bridge). Great day of fishing on the river. Andy met up with us at 3 mile and grilled us brats for lunch.
Tim/Trent with Ryan, Dean/Chris with Tyrell, Todd solo with Hayden. Awesome weather and awesome day of fishing – well over 30 fish caught. Tim and I caught 16 of them. Wick actually stayed around 3 mile all day with Hayden to fish that area and then Hayden drove him back to Columbus. More on that tomorrow.
