I left early morning and had a layover in Denver. The flight from Denver to Billings was once again terrible. I don’t know if it is the tailwind or what, but this leg is a very bumpy flight.
While in Denver I learned that Dave (Todd’s father-n-law) had to switch planes because someone destroyed the crapper in his plane before they could take off. I have never heard of such a thing, but Dave was delayed around an hour. Read more
While waiting on Dave, I grabbed a quick bite at the restaurant inside the airport named The Gateway Restaurant & Lounge. Dave joined me a bit later and we both waited on Todd to land.
Todd arrived and we headed over to check out the house, and then went to get some groceries and alcohol. We also picked up Redneck Pizza.. which was the exact same place we ate at last year when we got back from the BigHorn River.
The 3 of us hung out at the house and the others (Tim, Chris, and Dean) arrived around 830 or nine, and ate the rest of the pizza. We shared a few stories about the trip out here and learned that Tim almost got arrested because he had a switchblade and two flasks of bourbon in his carry-on he had forgotten about. Crazy travel day. Stillwater River tomorrow.
