In Athens, be sure to see the Acropolis, The Parthenon, Theatre of Herod Atticus, Theatre of Dionyses, The Olympic Stadium (check out the Videos page), take a walk through The National Garden, visit The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (in Syndagma Square), The Temple of Zeus, The Zappeion, visit the Archaeological Museum, and shop at The Plaka and The Flea Market (better prices at the Flea Market) Be sure to see Stavros Melissinos “the Sandal Poet” while visiting the Flea Market.Read more
My views on Athens: The city has incredible ruins; however, it is overcrowded with tourists. The people drive like lunatics, everyone smokes, and everyone has a cellular phone attached to their body.
