No major driving today.
We arrived at Anna Maria Island late Friday. The first thing we did was head across the street to the beach. There we met up with our friends Jim & Debra Kaleta from Cincinnati who we are here to visit this week. That have a great place which is right across the street from Holmes Beach. Read more
The kids played in the sand a bit and then we headed back to the house. The ladies were going to hang out at the house, so the gentlemen took that opportunity to grab some cigars, chairs and beverages, and head to the beach for a few hours.
The next morning we got off pretty early and went fishing off the Pier. The kids caught a few snapper and angelfish. Trevor actually caught one of each. Everyone had a great time. After fishing, we went upstairs and had breakfast and then headed back to the house.
The rest of the day was spent at the beach or at the pool. The duplex house has a great Granite pool on both sides so there was plenty of room for everyone to swim. I forgot to mention that Jim & Debra have other family down as well, but they are all leaving tomorrow.
We went and had dinner at the SandBar Restaurant this evening. Then believe it or not, then Jim and I took Trevor and Johinny back to the pier to see if we could catch some Grunt fish. We ended up catching 3 of them and gave them away to some local boys. Johnny really wanted to hear the sound of the grunt fish, and we were able to.
Tomorrow…. who knows what we are doing. If no plan, it’s off to the beach!l
