We checked in, and instead of heading to bed, we decided to walk around the strip for the next several hours. This was not our first trip to Las Vegas The temperature was still in the 90’s past midnight. Unfortunately we missed the last show of the Bellagio fountains, but the kids got to see why they say Vegas is the city that never sleeps. It turns out none of them really remember much of their last trip to Vegas 6 years ago. We got back to our room around 2:40A Vegas time and immediately we were down for the night.
I almost forgot to mention that we had a damaged suitcase and ended up losing shoes. What we believed was a pair of sandals ending up being one running shoe from Heather and the other from Trevor. Not even a full pair. This means we have to replace to pairs of shoes now. The airline said they will reimburse for the shoes and busted suitcase, but it is still a hassle to deal with.
More tomorrow…
